What are injectable fillers? (Juvederm, Restylane, Versa or Radiesse)

Neuromodulators are short acting paralytics. This means that if they are injected into a strong muscle it can decrease its strength and activity. As we age, our muscles become stronger and stronger, leading to repetitive motions that cause lines and wrinkles to form. Most commonly these areas are between our eyes (glabella), forehead, and around the eyes (crows feet). If we inject a neuromodulator (Botox or filler) locally and specifically into these muscles and areas, we can decrease their strength which ultimately helps decrease these lines in our faces that occur overtime.
